Welder Course Overview
All welder courses consist of both theoretical and practical components, with durations ranging from two to four weeks depending on the intensity of the training. A standard welding course commences on a Monday, with the option of weekend sessions.
Upon successful completion of the course, candidates will be required to undertake both theoretical and practical exams. On successful completion of the programme, candidates will receive a welder’s book or an entry into their existing book, certified by the Welding Institute in Gliwice, along with a welder’s certificate according to European standard EN ISO 9606-1.
If required, we also conduct exams that result in obtaining UDT TÜV or DNV welder certificates, and upon request, ASME IX or AWS D1.1, including position 6GR.
Candidates wishing to participate in our welding course must meet the following requirements:
- must be at least 18 years old
- have a minimum of primary education.
- must also provide a medical certificate confirming their fitness to perform the duties of a welder.
UDT Welding Certifications
UDT-CERT authorisation for training and examining welders means that we are able to organise exams in compliance with EN ISO 9606-1 after every welding course. These exams, overseen by a UDT committee, are available for both acquiring new welding qualifications and verifying/renewing existing certifications. These exams can be arranged upon the participant’s request.
For the first exam in a given welding method, candidates are required to pass a theoretical test. In cases where the objective is to verify or renew existing qualifications, there is an option to switch the certifying body to UDT (e.g., from the Welding Institute in Gliwice). Exams conducted in accordance with EN ISO 9606-1 typically take place on a monthly basis.
